CMOS integrated circuit

The David Sarnoff Research Center (now part of SRI) introduced the Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) integrated circuit (IC) in 1965. This vital technology can be found in most of the world’s electronic circuitry.

Today, SRI applies its proven imaging and IC expertise to achieve charge-coupled device (CCD) performance levels with CMOS designs, and is designing low-light CMOS image sensors for night vision, persistent surveillance, and aerospace applications.
