SRI Has a Proven Record in Cancer Therapeutics Discovery and Development...
Services
SRI is a long-time NCI contractor for synthesis of compounds for the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Carcinogen Repository and for preclinical development. For government and private clients, we identify new molecular targets, discover novel lead compounds, develop novel models for evaluating in vitro and in vivo efficacy, elucidate mechanisms of action, optimize interesting leads, and develop cost-effective syntheses.
SRI is a leading provider of preclinical development services for cancer therapeutics, cancer vaccines, and chemopreventive agents for private companies and NCI. SRI has provided nonclinical R&D support to NCI's Chemoprevention Branch for more than 30 years and currently holds NCI contracts for evaluating preclinical safety and pharmacokinetics of cancer chemotherapeutics and chemopreventive agents. We are the preferred contractor providing genetic toxicology testing for NCI's chemoprevention program. We also perform clinical trial materials manufacturing of cancer therapeutics through various subcontracts with the NCI. Our experience includes
- Discovery and comprehensive preclinical development, including preparation of the IND package for submission of a highly selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM), currently in Phase I clinical trials for breast cancer
- Genetic toxicology testing of more than 20 chemopreventive agents for the NCI for IND submission requirements
- Chronic toxicity testing of the immune enhancing rVB-7 vaccine
- Preclinical safety and pharmacokinetic evaluation of more than 20 cancer chemotherapeutics for the NCI
