The Future of Manufacturing
Manufacturing in America has changed dramatically over the past decades, a period marked by deepening globalization, the emergence of China and Southeast Asia as major manufacturing bases, technological advances, and the "dot.com" boom and bust. SRI conducted a series of analyses for the Futures Group of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in order to provide a better understanding of these major shifts and to help MEP/NIST align its assistance to America's small manufacturers:
