Applied Optics Laboratory

SRI International's Applied Optics Laboratory has strong expertise in materials development and computation of materials properties, optical sensing, and optical technology. We provide complete services in research, applied science, engineering, and field testing.

Our technical specialties include the development of novel materials and prototype sensors. We maintain labs for the optical characterization of materials and surfaces from UV to LWIR. Our facilities include laboratories for materials synthesis, materials characterization, and optical and infrared measurements. The Applied Optics Laboratory staff have expertise in the disciplines of optics, acoustics, electrical engineering, physics, materials science, and chemistry.
