Senior Research Scientist, Microcircuit Emulation Center, Integrated Systems and Solutions
David Weaver is a senior research scientist in SRI International’s Microcircuit Emulation Center (MEC) in Princeton, NJ. He is focused on physical reverse engineering of microcircuits using electron beam and optical microscopy, trusted supply chain for microelectronics, customer outreach, and business development for the MEC.
Previously, Weaver worked as a senior research associate at the University of Cambridge at the Cavendish Laboratory (Department of Physics) and in the Department of Engineering, developing techniques and tools for extracting design data through physical reverse engineering of microcircuits.
Weaver holds a Ph.D. degree in physics from University of York and a B.Sc. degree in physics with astrophysics from University of Leeds.
