Abstract
The study of backscattering by a right-angle dihedral has been studied intensively in the past for incident plane waves with a propagation vector in the azimuthal plane of the dihedral. This has been extended to cover incident waves with propagation vectors at any angle. The theory includes both: 1) single scattering at either of the two faces of the dihedral and 2) reflection at one face followed by scattering at the opposing face. Presently, the theory does not include other interactions, such as diffraction at the front edge of one face followed by scattering at the opposing face.
