Education Research Associate, SRI Education
Keena Walters is an equity-focused, qualitative education researcher. She brings her expertise in qualitative data collection and analysis to projects related to college and career pathways, alternative secondary education, and social and emotional learning.
At SRI, Waltersā current projects focus on school district procurement, teacher residency programs, tools to support middle school studentsā participation in STEM, and a resource to diversify the educator workforce. Additionally, Walters directs the Postsecondary Teaching with Technology Collaborative student fellowship program to help amplify student voices and perspectives in research related to online learning.
Walters received her MA in social and cultural analysis of education from California State University, Long Beach, and her BA in family and consumer sciences with a minor in special education from San Francisco State University.
