Brian Slovick

Brian Slovick, Ph.D., leads ATSD’s Space and Survivability Lab, which performs research and development in optics, materials, and atmospheric physics to support the U.S. Government’s science and national security missions. At SRI, Dr. Slovick established new program areas in metamaterials, metasurfaces, and computational design of nanophotonic materials and antennas. He is also principal inventor of the metamaterial perfect reflector. Dr. Slovick has received nearly 40 contract awards and published more than 30 papers, including highlights in Nature Photonics, Nature Materials, and ACS. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Physics from San Diego State University and a Ph.D. in Optics and Photonics from CREOL, the College of Optics and Photonics at the University of Central Florida.
