As the president of SRI’s Information and Computing Sciences division, Patrick Lincoln leads a team that creates forward-thinking technology solutions to our most important challenges.

Patrick Lincoln joined SRI in 1989, holding various leadership positions in the Information and Computing Sciences division (ICS) before assuming the role of division president in 2024.

Under his leadership, SRI has made significant contributions in information security, system design, speech and natural language, vision and perception, planning and reasoning, and formal methods.

For Lincoln, these capabilities — as impressive as they are — are merely means to an end. In his view, computing power should be aligned with an emphasis on “improving our collective ability to solve urgent, critical problems.”
